I was a member of Curves before actually becoming the owner. Curves made a big change in my life by helping me lose weight and becoming a healthier person. When the opportunity was presented, I decided to become part of the Curves franchise.
Describe what your business does.
Curves is a facility specially designed for women featuring a complete workout. The Curves circuit works every major muscle group with a complete workout that combines strength training and sustained cardiovascular activity through safe and effective hydraulic resistance.
Curves also offers Zumba classes. This unique class combines fun music and dance moves of Zumba! You’ll tone up, burn hundreds of calories, and have so much fun you won’t even realize you’re working out!
What are memories from your career that stick out with you the most?
I think that being able to help people on a health level is incredible.
What do you most like and least like about your work?
I love what I do at Curves. I enjoy the workout and Zumba classes. I feel great for making a change in a woman’s life and to see the results.
Curves staff is always there, not only as fitness facility trainers, but as a friend. Our cozy environment makes members feel welcome.
What makes your business unique?
Curves is about fitness and health. Curves is about gaining strength and losing weight. Curves is about reaching your goals in a community of support and encouragement. Curves is a fitness club just for women.
What advice do you have for someone who wants to open a business?
Operating a business is as hard as you make it. You should have a plan and execute it accordingly. Don’t be afraid to make any changes to your plan if it is not going as intended.
