The Imperial County Sheriff’s Department received reports of a man looking into yards from the alley between West Eighth Street and West Seventh Street, near Holt Avenue and Pine Avenue in Holtville around 1 a.m. Sunday morning.
The reporting caller believed the man was attempting to burglarize his neighbor’s home, according to sheriff’s activity logs. Upon arriving to the area, deputies were unable to locate the prowler.
Fire extinguisher sprays classroom
McCabe School officials contacted Imperial County sheriff’s deputies after they discovered fire extinguisher spray all over a classroom Saturday evening.
School officials believe the incident occurred sometime between Friday and Saturday, according to log records.
Damage to the classroom’s carpet is believed to be worth $150.
There are currently no suspects connected to the incident, according to logs.
Man pulls knife on daughter
Reports of an Ocotillo man putting a knife to his daughter’s neck were made to the Imperial County Sheriff’s Department on Sunday afternoon.
Deputies eventually arrested the man for threatening and brandishing a weapon, according to sheriff’s logs.
