Apparent gang graffiti was reported to police at 3 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of South Ninth Street in El Centro. The graffiti was believed to have been left between 1 a.m. to 2:45 a.m., El Centro police logs stated.

Vehicle reported burglarized

El Centro police responded to a call of a possible vehicle burglary at 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the 110 block of Driftwood Drive. The reporting party had seen a male suspect fleeing the front yard toward Aurora Drive, according to the police logs. It was later determined that the vehicle had been left unlocked and the registration had been taken. The suspect had been described as a male Hispanic juvenile wearing a dark plaid shirt and jeans.

Suspects enter residence

A resident of a home in the 1500 block of Lenrey Avenue reported unknown suspects had broken into the home about 11:45 p.m. Saturday and turned the air conditioning on full blast before leaving.

No further information was provided, the logs stated.

Vehicle reported stolen from bar

A woman summoned El Centro police after her vehicle was reportedly stolen from the Vallarta Bar at 460 Broadway early Sunday morning. The woman had reported her purse with car keys and credit card inside had been stolen while she was dancing.  The credit card was reportedly used around 1 a.m. Sunday at Willie’s Donuts on Fourth Street, the police logs stated.

The vehicle was described as a light blue four-door 2003 Kia Rio, license plate 5MML199, the report stated.

An alert was issued to law enforcement agencies throughout the Valley.

Son reported missing

A mother of a juvenile reported to El Centro police about 2:34 p.m. Saturday that her son had not returned from a social gathering to their home in the 600 block of Commercial Avenue.

The juvenile’s disappearance was listed in the police logs as a possible runaway. The youth, described as being 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds, was last seen wearing a blue and white plaid shirt, black shorts, white socks and black sneakers, according to the logs.
