David Osias, the attorney responsible for defending the Imperial Irrigation District in the coordinated Quantification Settlement Agreement lawsuits, was fired Friday by the IID Board of Directors.
Osias’ law firm of Allen Matkins was replaced by the law firm of New Mexico attorney Charles DuMars, IID officials said.
The negotiating committee is to be composed of IID Directors James Hanks and Matt Dessert and DuMars’ law firm.
No other information was available late Friday. Read more in Sunday’s edition of the Imperial Valley Press.
