LOS ANGELES (KTLA) -- Vin Scully returned to Chavez Ravine Sunday for his first broadcast of the 2012 season after a bout of bad health kept him sidelined.
The 84-year-old Hall of Fame broadcaster missed the season's first six games -- including the Dodgers' home opener -- because of a severe cold.
Scully is broadcasting his 63rd consecutive season for the Dodgers.
The Dodgers said the only other home opener he missed came in 1977 when he was the national broadcaster for the Masters.
Charley Steiner and Steve Lyons filled in on the television broadcast of Saturday's game on Prime Ticket, with Rick Monday and Kevin Kennedy handling the radio broadcast on 570 AM.
