What it is: Crystal Figlietti, owner of Go Fresh, a California company, invented the snack packs so her kids could take their sandwiches or snacks to school in a reusable plastic bag. The packs are made of thick EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) plastic that is both PVC- and BPA-free. The snack packs feature a built-in placemat and come in two sizes: sandwich size, or 8 by 6 inches, and snack size, 6 by 4 inches. They are guaranteed to last 90 days. After school or during a trip, you simply hand wash it, air or towel dry it, then reuse it. Some foods, such as carrots and mustard, are known to stain the packs.
The bad: I wish it came in a larger gallon size to transport a week's worth of snacks such as freshly cut-up fruit or vegetables.
