CALEXICO — Jefferson Elementary School students showed off how they’ve been using iPads in the classroom during a tour of the school Tuesday with Mayor Daniel Romero.

Sixty-eight tablets are at Jefferson, where they’re used by about 190 students on a daily basis, school Principal Lucio Padilla said. The school has around 450 students.

“I wish we had one for every student,” Padilla said. “It’s a wonderful tool that gives you everything you’ll want in a simple tablet.”
