Former Imperial Irrigation District Director Anthony Sanchez is set to face a jury in December after dates for the trial were set today.
In a pre-trial hearing this morning at the Imperial County Superior Court, Presiding Judge William Lehman set Dec. 4 as the first day of jury trial, with another pre-trial conference scheduled this month and a readiness hearing set for Dec. 3. The whole of this morning’s pre-trial took about two minutes.
Sanchez is being charged after a video was taken and given to the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office allegedly showing Sanchez hit his stepson with a belt.
