WINTERHAVEN - A solo vehicle rollover left its four occupants injured, one of them seriously, in an accident involving a white sedan Sunday, according to the California Highway Patrol Web site.

The incident took place about 4 p.m. when the vehicle was traveling east on Interstate 8 just east of State Route 186.

No further information was available.

A man allegedly stole her friend’s black Toyota Corolla on Sunday only to return it 20 minutes later, according to El Centro police call logs.

The incident was reported at 3:37 a.m., after the victim, a female in her early 20s, was dropping off a man at his hotel room at the Rodeway Inn.

 The woman entered the room to use the restroom and when she got out the vehicle was gone, the logs read.

No information was provided as to where the man went, but the logs do read that the car was returned to the owner.



Mud balls thrown to traffic

Mud balls were the weapons of choice for two male juveniles who Saturday afternoon decided to throw the balls into traffic at Fourth Street and Aurora Avenue.

The only descriptions of what the juveniles were wearing were that one was wearing blue shorts and the other had a blue and red baseball cap, according to El Centro police call logs.



One hand man smashes bicycle

A resident reported that a man with a beard and only one hand was smashing a bicycle near the railroad tracks of Southwind Drive on Saturday.

 The incident was reported at 11:24 a.m., after the subject also set a bush on fire, according to El Centro police call logs.

The one-handed man was trying to leave the bicycle on the tracks so it would get hit by the train, the logs read.
