An out-of-town resident with property in the 9000 Block of G Avenue reported Saturday around noon that subjects from a tow company were trying to take his red Toyota Tacoma.
The reporting party’s house had been burglarized some time after August and some vehicle titles were stolen at the time, according to Imperial County Sheriffs call logs.
The subjects were attempting to collect the vehicles from his father, who was in the house, the logs read. It appeared that someone had sold the subjects the truck without the owner’s permission, according to the logs.
The subjects from the towing company left the truck at the residence and drove away, the logs read.
No further information appeared in the logs.
Holtville - Fight at Hot Rods and Beer leaves one hurt
A fight between an unknown number of subjects took place Friday at Hot Rods and Beer.
The incident was reported at 11:15 p.m. that an employee suffered a head injury, according to Imperial County Sheriff’s call logs.
All subjects involved were outside of the venue, in the parking lot, the logs reads, and bottles were possibly used as weapons. After a foot pursuit one person was detained.
No further information was provided.
Heber - Dog shot in the spine
A resident in the 100 Block of West Pheasant Street reported at 5 p.m. Friday that his dog was shot in the spine by a BB gun. The resident believes the neighbor’s son shot the dog, according to Imperial County Sheriff’s call logs.
The dog is paralyzed from the middle waist down.
