WINTERHAVEN - Imperial County sheriff’s authorities received an 8:33 p.m. call Wednesday about an alleged rape that occurred late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning at a location in the 1800 block of Emerald Lane, according to a log entry at the sheriff’s office.
A report was taken and the case referred to investigators, the entry reported. No other information had been provided by the Sheriff’s Office.
Disturbance call made
HEBER - A 1og entry reported that a 13-year-old girl went to the home of someone who called sheriff’s authorities at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday about a disturbance at a location on East Main Street. The girl told the caller that her father had been battering her mother, but sheriff’s deputies determined that the call stemmed from an argument the father was having with his daughter.

NILAND - Sheriff’s deputies received a 3:39 p.m. call Wednesday about a male and female engaged in a fight at the end of Beal Road, a log entry read. A man was detained on suspicion of corporal injury to a spouse, the log entry reported.
