SEELEY -Imperial County sheriff’s deputies early Friday were chasing a man identified in a log entry as Ryan Ray after a 12:14 a.m. call that reported he had barricaded himself in an apartment in the 1900 block of Haskell Road.
The man fled on foot. He is suspected of battery and a couple of other charges.
It was not clear whether the man has been arrested.
Assault reported
SALTON CITY - Sheriff’s authorities received a 7:24 p.m. report Thursday about a full can of beer thrown out of a moving Hyundai Elantra at a location near Highway 86 and Treadwell Boulevard.
The call was reported as an assault with a deadly weapon, but the log entry provided no information about anyone who was struck or hurt by the beer can.
Burglary reported
WINTERHAVEN - A burglary was reported Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of Picacho Road. The log entry read that the burglary occurred sometime this week.
