At least three laptop computers were stolen Saturday from the Rent-a-Center store in the 800 block of North Imperial Avenue.

The incident was reported around 4 a.m. after a sensor detected motion in the stockroom, according to El Centro police call logs. Two police units responded to the incident and secured the building, the call logs read.

A male wearing a black shirt, black hat and a black bandana over his face entered the building through a hole cut in a wall of the water heater room, the logs read.

No arrest was reported.



Imagine School vandalized
Some seven juveniles were seen throwing rocks Friday night at the Imagine School in the 1000 block of North Imperial Avenue. No items were broken or damage, according to El Centro police call logs.

Five juveniles were found nearby and they denied throwing rocks, the logs read. The juveniles were told to stay away from the school.



Man hit with shovel

HEBER — A 43 year-old man allegedly hit an elderly male with a shovel Saturday afternoon.

The incident was reported at 5:47 p.m. and took place near Grand Avenue, according to Imperial County sheriff’s call logs. No further information is provided.
