SALTON CITY - A sheriff’s deputy was requested Friday at a location in the 2300 block of Shore Hawk Avenue about a 3:31 p.m. call regarding a student who hit a teacher, according to a log entry at the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office.
No medical aid was needed as it was learned that the student threw a marker toward a door that ended up accidentally striking the teacher, the log entry read.
The teacher did not feel the incident was intentional and did not want to press charges. The school, which was not identified in the entry, is handling the matter internally.
Disturbance reported
NILAND - Sheriff’s authorities received a 6:44 p.m. report Friday at a location in the 9100 block of Wilkins Road regarding a resident who told deputies that his brother came to his trailer and said “he was going to take care of business.”
The resident said he was scared but didn’t want to file a report, the log entry reported.
Soccer fight reported
HEBER - A soccer team got into a scuffle Friday, it was reported in a 7:39 p.m. call from Palm and Hawk avenues.
The people involved in the fight were separated at the time of the call, the log entry reported.
A deputy spoke to the soccer league manager who explained that the soccer team was kicked out of the league and had left the area.
