SALTON CITY - The car of a Sea View Elementary School District teacher was damaged by rocks thrown by a juvenile Thursday.

The juvenile admitted throwing rocks over the school fence, the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office call logs read, but he didn’t mean to hit the vehicle.

No prosecution took place and the school will handle the student’s punishment, according to the logs.

IMPERIAL - A resident here requested Thursday morning to speak with a deputy as she felt harassed by her ex-husband’s best friend.

The female reported she had been receiving gifts and visits from the best friend, according to Imperial County Sheriff’s Office call logs.

Deputies contacted the subject, who according to the logs, understood the issue and said he would stay away from the female.



El Centro man loses thousands on fraudulent car sale

A man who purchased a car online got a surprise this week after sending off the money.

The 26-year-old from El Centro reported to the city police department that after he had sent off the $2,150 via Western Union, the seller and advertisement disappeared, according to police logs. No suspect information was available after a follow up investigation, but a report was taken.
