EL CENTRO - At least five people, including two minors, suffered unspecified injuries following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Main and 12th streets today.
Police received the report shortly before 4 p.m., said El Centro Police Officer Adrian Chilpa, who noted the injured were all taken to El Centro Regional Medical Center.
The accident happened when a Ford Ranger travelling east on Main Street ran the stop sign and collided with a Dodge Caravan that was going north on 12th Street, Chilpa said.
Traffic was closed at the intersection following the accident and two ambulances as well as firefighters were seen at the site.
The occupants of the Dodge Caravan were treated by emergency personnel and some were seen walking before they were taken to ECRMC around 4:30 p.m.
