OCOTILLO - A Mexican national was arrested Sunday when U.S. Border Patrol agents found more than $840,000 worth of marijuana inside a stolen sport utility vehicle near Ocotillo.
Border Patrol agents operating a remote video surveillance system caught a vehicle illegally entering the U.S., a press statement reported. Agents pulled over the SUV and upon arresting the driver, a 43-year-old Mexican resident, found 89 bundles of marijuana.

BRAWLEY - Police received a 6:33 a.m. report Tuesday about a man down on the caller’s front lawn at a location in the 100 block of West D Street, according to a log entry.
One person, identified as 32-year-old Robert Barrientos, was detained in connection with the incident. The log entry read that someone fled on foot in a southbound direction through an alley near the D Street location.
