A woman contacted police after she was cut in a Wal-Mart nail salon and alleged that it was done on purpose after she complained about the nail technician’s customer service, according to El Centro Police Department call logs.
The call came in around 12:30 p.m. The woman said the nail salon employee intentionally cut her after she complained and believed it was racially motivated, according to the call logs. There was a small cut under her left index fingernail, but employees said accidental cuts do occur, and it wasn’t intentional.
The woman was advised of her civil options.
Authorities looking for stabbing suspect
Valley authorities were alerted early Sunday to look for a man suspected in a stabbing in El Centro, according to the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office call logs.
El Centro Police Department sent out the alert at 2:37 a.m. Sunday regarding the stabbing and said to stop and detain Luis Hector Munoz Jr., 32, if found.
Munoz was driving a blue 2000 Ford F150, and it’s unknown if he’s armed. No more information was available by Sunday evening.
Winterhaven - Rollover truck found in field
A truck rolled over into a field while the driver allegedly was driving drunk, and the driver is thought to have left the area in another car, according to Imperial County Sheriff’s Office call logs.
Authorities received a call at 8:44 p.m. Saturday regarding a rollover truck in a field near Sapphire Street and West Baseline Road in Winterhaven.
The caller reporting the rollover said there was nobody in the vehicle, and another vehicle that had been near it had left.
Another person reported that the driver was drunk and had got in a blue Dodge Durango and left. No more information was available by Sunday evening.
