8minutenergy Renewables signed a 20-year power purchase agreement last week to sell 200 megawatts of solar energy from its Mount Signal Solar project west of Calexico to San Diego Gas & Electric. The project is scheduled to begin operation in mid-2013 and will produce enough energy to power 72,000 homes.
