A motorist was taken to El Centro Regional Medical Center after suffering a seizure Saturday at the East Port of Entry.

The man, 37, was heading south at the port when the seizure occurred, causing him to lose control of his vehicle, jump the curb and cross over into the northbound lane, said Imperial County Fire Capt. Luis Andrade.

The man was with his mother, who apparently was not hurt during the 1:26 p.m. incident. The man’s medical condition — or the nature of his seizure — was not known at press time.
