HOLTVILLE - A dive team was requested Thursday after a body was found in the All American Canal near Highway 98, according to a log entry with the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office.

An identification of the body was not immediately known but the entry read that the call about the body was made at 10:09 a.m.

Suspicious person reported

BRAWLEY - Police received a 3:35 a.m. call Thursday about an unknown person pedaling around on a bicycle in the 600 block of South Willard Avenue. No one was arrested in connection with the call.

Stolen property reported

EL CENTRO - Police received a call Wednesday about a bicycle and two scooters taken from the front porch of a residence in the 1200 block of Manuel A. Ortiz Avenue.

There was no suspect information nor any physical evidence located but the log entry at the El Centro Police Department reported that a black $109 Hypercool 20-inch boys bicycle and two boys scooters worth $35 each had been taken.

One of the scooters was adorned with Spiderman stickers while the second scooter was chrome with black tape, the entry read.

Disturbance reported

EL CENTRO - A Latino man in his 30s and driving a white car pulled out a gun Wednesday night and pointed it at someone in the area of Eighth Street and Ross Avenue in El Centro, according to an entry.

The call was reported at 10:37 p.m. and the entry described the suspect as wearing a black hat and was last seen heading west on Ross Avenue. No one was hurt during the call, the entry reported.
