CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. -- The Naval Criminal Investigative Service was called in after a Marine was found dead Monday at Camp Pendleton.
The death at theU.S. Marine Corpsbase near Oceanside was reported about 9 a.m., according to Capt. Barry Edwards.
Details about the death, including the Marine's name, gender, age and hometown, were not immediately available, Edwards said. It was unclear if there was anything suspicious about the fatality.
