SAN DIEGO -- Today is the deadline for paying the second installment of property taxes.
More than 360,000 bills, worth around $1 billion, hadn't been paid as of last Thursday, according to the San Diego Treasurer-Tax Collector's office. Late filers could face a 10 percent penalty and additional $10 fee.
The Treasurer-Tax Collector's office will be open at the following locations from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday to receive payments:
-- Downtown, County Administration Center, 1600 Pacific Highway, Room 162;
-- Chula Vista, 590 Third Ave;
-- El Cajon, 200 S. Magnolia Ave;
-- Kearny Mesa, 9225 Clairemont Mesa Blvd.; and
-- San Marcos, 141 E. Carmel St.
