I like how some people think they know everything that happened this night. There was no shooting of a passenger in a taxi cab! There was a taxi cab driver who had some sort of heart attack that was on that street but other than the stupid dead suspect, the taxi cab driver was the only one who was hurt in this incident. His heart attack had nothing to do with with this case. The person who was "brutally murdered" was a drug dealer as well as someone who was involved in cooking the methamphetamine as well. This dead guy had a gun pointed at the five law enforcement officers when they entered the house. This suspect deserved to be shot and killed by these officers. If you point a gun at an officer(s), you're most likely NOT going to come out alive. So, you think this suspect was unarmed??? Guess again! There were more guys in that house too who were armed but dropped their weapons because they didn't want to die. So I guess some people don't mind having methamphetamine being cooked in a house in their neighborhood in the Imperial Valley. This wasn't "target practice," this was getting rid of a drug house in a residential neighborhood! This was a full scale drug operation for these drug dealers!

This newspaper states that their was a "Shootout"in this incident. A shootout normally consists of one person shooting another and vice versa to end a duel. In this case it was SS officers shooting an unarmed passenger in the back seat of a taxicab. This is another case of the El Centro police dept. using gestapo type methods to apprehend persons who they deem suspects. However, according to eyewitnesses reports proper Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) was not even considered, instead they just brutally murdered a passenger in a taxi cab and called it a day. It is quite obvious to me that the El Centro police dept. and surrounding agencies need to be retrained on how to apprehend unarmed citizens before shooting them dead first.
