Brawley Union High School granted Civic Learning Award of Excellence

BRAWLEY — Understanding the importance of civic knowledge and the role it should play in the state’s youth, Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye and state Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson, established the Civic Learning Awards Program, which is now in its second year of existence.

The awards program celebrates public high schools’ efforts to engage students in civic learning and also identifies models that can be replicated in other schools.
