Two-day Pivotal Response Training workshop informs Imperial Valley educators on ways to help autistic students

In an effort to ensure autistic children receive quality care and an excellent education, Autism Support of Imperial County and the Imperial County Office of Education sponsored a two-day workshop for educators here Thursday.

Two specialists from Koegel Autism Consultants led the workshop and went over key components of the Pivotal Response Treatment, an intervention method for people suffering from autism that is both comprehensive and empirically supported, according to its website.
