Sheriff's authorities arrested a Brawley man today on suspicion of igniting a fire at a palm tree nursery south of El Centro.
The suspect, identified as 51-year-old Javier Delgado, was booked into the county jail on suspicion of arson following his capture at the nursery that is located near the intersection of Labrucherie and McCabe roads, said Imperial County Sheriff's Sgt. Manuel De Leon.
No one was injured during the fire, said Imperial County Fire Chief Tony Rouhotas. The blaze was reported at 12:54 p.m., De Leon said.
