SAN DIEGO --- A judge ruled today that federal agent Dole Dotson has a right to have his immunity defense to be heard in federal court, an attorney said.
U.S. District Judge Anthony J. Battaglia's ruling has Dotson's criminal matter on three counts of vehicular manslaughter to be removed from state court to federal court, according to documents.
Motions in the case is set to be heard on May 24 but a trial date has been scheduled for July 23, said Dotson's defense attorney Jeremy Warren.
"Special Agent Dotson is pleased that he'll have the opportunity to present his side of the story in federal court," Warren said.
