Police are looking for suspects in an early morning shooting near condominiums in El Centro.

El Centro Police Department responded to the shooting about 1 a.m. Tuesday on the 1700 block of Brighton Avenue, according to a press release from the department.

After speaking with several witnesses, police determined that a group of two or three men had fired handguns at a second story condominium window, according to the press release. No one was injured by the shooting in the condominium.

Police identified one suspect, 23-year-old Ulisses Cisneros of El Centro, according to the press release. Cisneros and the other suspects allegedly fled the area prior to the arrival of the police officers, and the group has not been arrested. The unidentified suspects are described as Hispanic men in their early 20s, of medium height and thin builds.

“Based upon statements from witnesses, this shooting involved an ex-boyfriend; Cisneros, his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend,” said Cmdr. Jeff Mason. “Investigators are working on identifying the other suspects, on arresting Cisneros and recovering the handguns used in the shooting.”
