The last update from the county Registrar of Voters shows leading candidates in the Calexico and Holtville council races are still on top.
In the Calexico City Council race John Moreno, Joong Kim and Luis Castro are first, second and third respectively. Moreno has 3,048 votes, Kim 2,903 votes and Castro has 2,335 votes. Guillermo "Willie" Hermosillo is fourth with 2,202 votes, while Daniel Romero is now sixth after Erik Ortega, who managed to gain some ground since the last update.
In Holtville, incumbent David Bradshaw leads the pack with 567 votes, Virginia "Ginger" Ward is now second with 524 votes and James Predmore follows with 511 votes. Meanwhile, incumbent Jerry Brittsan is fourth with 486 votes.
In the Imperial Irrigation District division races 2, 4 and 5; Bruce Kuhn, Steve Benson and Norma Sierra Galindo continue in the lead.
