Sanchez

Sanchez (January 9, 2013)

Anthony Sanchez pleaded guilty today to one misdemeanor count of putting a child in a situation where he or she may be endangered.

Sanchez, a former Imperial Irrigation District director, will be on probation for three years, have to serve 50 hours of community service and enroll in an anger management class, Judge Christopher J. Plourd announced in court. Because of the plea, the District Attorney’s Office dropped the felony inflicting injury to a child charge against Sanchez.

Sanchez was accused of hitting his stepson with a belt in June 2012. The incident was videotaped and posted to YouTube before making national news.
