A motorcyclist was flown out to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs today after he collided into a moving tractor on Casey Road, authorities said.
The motorcyclist was heading south on Casey Road when the 10:49 a.m. collision occurred, said California Highway Patrol Officer Dwayne Davis. The crash occurred 400 feet north of Worthington Road.
The man whose name was not available was heading back to Mexicali after picking up his paycheck from a location on Casey Road, Davis said. The driver of the tractor had just unhitched a trailer when he was about to make a U-turn on southbound Casey Road when the motorcyclist was coming, Davis said.
The operator of the tractor told officers at the scene he never saw the motorcyclist, Davis said.
