Nearly $250,000 worth of narcotics has been seized by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Andrade and Calexico downtown Ports of Entry during a two-day period, a press release reported.

CBP officers at the Andrade Port of Entry on Thursday found 24 packages of marijuana concealed inside a black 2005 Nissan Titan truck that was driven by a 30-year-old Mexican national, the statement read. The motorist was arrested.

On Wednesday at the Calexico downtown Port of Entry CBP officers used a drug-sniffing dog on a Ford F-150 pick-up truck where eight wrapped packages of cocaine was found. The driver, an Ocotillo resident, was arrested.
