A series of minor earthquakes have shaken the area near Niland, though no damage was initially reported.
Dozens of earthquakes have occured near Niland this morning, peaking with a 3.0 magnitude quake about 11:30 a.m. three miles west by southwest of Niland. The latest was the fourth within the last week that has had a magnitude of 3.0 or more.
No damage has been reported, and no one reported feeling the quake to theU.S. Geological Survey, according to the group's Web site.
