CALEXICO --- U.S. Border Patrol agents are credited for saving the lives of two suspected undocumented immigrants last week from the All American Canal, a press release reported.
Five people suspected of trying to enter the U.S. illegally Thursday tried swimming across the canal but two of the people appeared to be overcome by strong currents and had trouble staying afloat, the statement reported.
Border Patrol agents notified other agents nearby to what was going on. The two people who had on life preserver vests had flotation devices thrown at them and helped out of the water, the statement read.
