The Imperial County Registrar's Office has released the latest unofficial vote results today.
In the El Centro City Council race, challenger Jason Jackson continues to lead incumbent Jon Edney. The unofficial tally states that Jackson has received 1,563 votes, compared to Edney's 1,492.
The winner of the third contested seat will join incumbents Efrain Silva and Sedalia Sanders on the council.
In the Calipatria City Council race, Maria Nava-Froelich looks to have pulled ahead of Raul Navarro. The unoficial tally states that Navarro-Froelich has received 153 votes, while Navarro has 149.
Around 200 provisional votes remain to be tallied. Those votes are expected to be counted Tuesday.
