Solar projects for Calexico denied

The decision to approve two solar farms west of Calexico is now for the Board of Supervisors, as the Imperial County Planning Commission denied the project Wednesday.

These are the last of a series of major development projects that county staff has recommended for approval, only to see them deemed denied by the Planning Commission.

We're going to find out REAL SOON how many County Board of Supervisors are undermining Imperial Valley's economy with their SELL OUT votes to remove farm ground for the benefit of Solar Developers!

Larry Grogen has already sold his soul to Solar and Gary Wyatt is the next SELL OUT who is not running for re-election.

Wasn't the BIG W quoted in the Newpaper awhile back that he wanted to now focus on something new and useful for the Valley by supporting Salton Sea restoration?

I wonder what they're saying down at the coffee shop about Gary's new Solar job? Maybe they can let him in on "hard ground" and "grass crops" lol lol lol

Amazing how the Solar Developers have become experts on usable farm ground. They must of heard down at the local coffee shop that Robinson was farming hard ground.....LOL

Now they're trying to use coffee shop rumors on "hard ground" as an excuse to put Solar panels up on farm ground onlty because it's easier than obtaining acreage in the desert where this mass construction of renewables really belongs... and at the end of the day the best fit for Solar development is roof top construction..

So "grass crops" don't sustain many workers? ha ha ha..... more coffee shop talk...

How about the workers needed to get "grass crops" into processing centers and out to markets all over the world? The hay squeeze and the people who sell hay squeeze parts, the trucks, the drivers, the parts for trucks, the deisel for trucks, tire sales, jobs at Wilber Ellis, seed sales, fertilizer sales, the list goes on and on for jobs needed to process "grass crops".......

Once the solar companies install the Chinese manufactured equipment using their outside labor there will probably be tens of jobs created. Someone has to clean the facility and keep the weeds down. We need commitments of permanent jobs being created paying good wages before the BOD approves these projects.
