The Teen Involvement Conference, which was held from Jan. 20–22 went very well this year.

This conference is designed to challenge youths to take part in more leadership activities and other activities in their communities, and to meet other 4-H youths while they have a fun time.

It would not have come together like it did without help from others, though. I want to thank my adviser, Tony Burkhardt, and adult volunteer John Trammell for their advice and suggestions as well as leading workshops.

I also want to thank the other members of the South Section Teen Council for the great job they did, Alex Schriener for leading a workshop at the last minute, and Big 5 Sporting Goods, Millie Spaugh and Matthew Smith for the donation of shoeboxes. I especially want to thank Mary Ann Smith and the leaders and members of Star Route 4-H for all their support and donations to our service project.
