Mr. Fullerton: Since you chose to address me directly, I will respond to you directly. Your version of events on Election Day is untrue and libelous. I challenge you to put some conviction behind it.

I will meet you at any San Diego police station and you can give an official statement to them. Of course, that will conflict with their version (they were in Golden Hall). It will also conflict with San Diego Registrar of Voters personnel (who were also there).

Finally, it would certainly put you in some jeopardy of criminal prosecution if you don’t tell the truth to them. I suspect you will stick to your unaccountable editorial versions, but consider it an open invitation.

As for your version of my reaction to the Imperial Valley Press cartoon, I again challenge you to put some fact behind your assertions. I would be very interested to see any statement from me that you can find that supports your assessment.

Pertaining to your college degree in the ’70s. I find it most important to note this was before the Internet was invented, and perhaps you are unaware that people frequently write falsehoods on it.

In fact, your online commentary is proof of it. I find it most disturbing that a high school teacher will take un-sourced blog posts as fact. Do you allow your students to do this?

Finally, I make frequent public appearances and would gladly answer any questions you might have, but scurrilous commentary from afar seems more your style.
