Regional high school tournaments got cranked up Tuesday night across the region.
Lord Botetourt hosted a Blue Ridge District battle with William Byrd.
Byrd led it by 5 with four minutes to play.
Zac Hill helped with a steal, lay-in, and foul.
But a long scoring drought followed and Botetourt took advantage.
Dustin Hassell had a game-high 19 points.
Lord Botetourt made some free throws and advanced 54 to 51.
- Radford 71, Graham 47: In Region C, the Bobcats led 25-16 midway through the second quarter.
Radford got out to a 12-point cushion late in the first half.
Radford rolled to the big win 72 to 47.
