Update 4:44 pm

Richmond is going crazy over their Rams. Today, it appears everyone in Virginia is a part of Ram Nation. We have crews in Monroe park and at the Siegel Center taking in all of the jubilation. Our Angela Pellerano describes the scene on campus as "insane".

Some final numbers from today's game.

Jamie Skeen led the Rams with 26 points and 7 rebounds. He was 10-12 at the free throw line and 4-7 from beyond the arc.

Brandon Rozzell had 12 points, all from behind the 3 point line. He was 4-7 as well.

The big thing that jumps out to me on the final stat sheet has to be the numbers from the 3 point line. VCU finished 12-25 from deep. That's 48%. The Jayhawks were 2-22, which is only 9%.

More to come soon.

Update 4:38 pm

Kansas forced a turnover, but just like the entire game, they can't convert a 3 point attempt. That makes them 2/18 now.

Skeen rebounds and is fouled immediately. He heads to the line for 2.

The first free throw is good, as is the second one.

Two more missed 3 pointers by Kansas and that's the game.

VCU is going to the Final 4, 71-61 is the final.

Update 4:36 pm

Rodriguez is fouled and heads to the line for two free throws. They are in the double bonus now. He hits both free throws, VCU leads 69-59. Looks like Kansas will give up more than 70 points, how long has it been since that happened?

Time out Kansas, and VCU is seconds away from the Final 4.

Update 4:31 pm

The Jayhawks pick off a Burgess pass, but then Skeen gets the ball back and calls a smart time out. It's still 65-59 VCU. I believe each team is down to one time out left. Will this come down to VCU making free throws?
