The Vincent Memorial High football team picked up its first win in Manzanita League play as it beat Foothills Christian High, 13-12, at Southwest High on Saturday in El Centro.

“The kids were up for the game tonight. They came out and played football for four quarters tonight and that’s something we haven’t been doing the last couple of weeks,” Vincent Memorial head coach Rick Castro said.

“It was senior night so everyone was fired up and the kids just played as a brotherhood tonight.”

The Scots found the end zone in the first quarter on a 7-yard run by Carlos Zuniga.
