Calexico High boys’ tennis player Raul De La Torre put together an incredible undefeated season in Imperial Valley League as a freshman.
Last week, De La Torre added another achievement to this great season as he won the IVL singles tournament at Central.

I enjoy that it is a very competitive sport, as well as challenging both physically and mentally.

My most memorable moment was winning the 96th annual Santa Monica Dudley Cup Open Tennis Tournament.
Tell us about someone who inspires you and why?
Roger Federer inspires me because he has won more majors than anyone else in the history of tennis.
What is your goal in your sport this season?
My goal is to get to the finals in the CIF Tournament.
