BLYTHE — The Calexico High softball team lost to Palo Verde Valley High, 5-4, in an Imperial Valley League game here Thursday.
Karla Soto suffered the loss. She gave up five runs and 11 hits.
At the plate for Calexico, Jessica Espinoza went 2-for-4, Arline Lizarraga went 2-for-4, Sandra Rosiles went 2-for-4, Briana Tirado went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Danielle Jimenez went 2-for-3 and Julissa Serrano had two RBIs.
Calexico will host Imperial High at 3:15 p.m. April 17.
