Southwest High junior cross country runner Tori Smith has been unstoppable in Imperial Valley League so far this season.
On Thursday, Smith won the girls’ race against Central Union with a time of 19:54 and has finished first in every league duel this season.

 I enjoy running and hanging out with my teammates because we’re all one big, happy family.

 The person that most inspires me is coach Bird. He pushes me and makes sure I do my best and keep it going.
 
What is your goal in your sport this season?
 My goal in cross country is to get first at IVLs and break my personal record on the course.
