What do you enjoy most about your sport?
“I enjoy running because I get this sensation of relaxation when I run. I simply love running.”
What is one of your more memorable moments in your sport?
“The day that was most memorable to me was last year during IVLs. Not only was it great to win, but having my twin sister Cindy right behind me made me feel like we were both winners. It was also great to win both the boys’ and girls’ Imperial Valley Championships. We all came out victorious.”
Who is one person that inspires you and why?
“The people that inspire me the most are my family but most of all, my dad. He’s not like other dads that force their kids to run. He supports me and my sisters by being there cheering us on and encouraging us and gives me pointers, which helps me throughout the season. He was a runner back in the day and I want to be just like him. My dad and family are like my own little personal cheering squad.”
What is your goal this season?
“My goal this season is to improve my times, make it to state and win IVLs again.”
