HOLTVILLE — The Holtville High wrestling team beat Imperial High, 40-39, in an Imperial Valley League duel here Wednesday.
For the Vikings, Jake Irunguray won 8-7 at 122 pounds. Philip Gutierrez won by pin at 128, Jesse Diaz won by pin at 147, Esteban Cueto won by pin at 172, Esteban Llanes won by pin at 184, Jose Sandoval won by walkover at 222 and Lance Angulo won by pin at heavyweight.
The Vikings will wrestle at the Helix High tournament Saturday.
