Swim registrations 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., El Centro and Calexico
The El Centro Sunsations swim team will be having registrations from 5-7 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays from Monday to May 24 at St. Mary’s Catholic School auditorium in El Centro. There will also be a sign-up from 9 a.m. to noon at St. Mary’s and Vincent Memorial High in Calexico on May 19. Registration is $70 or $100 for raffle tickets included. Catfish tournament TBD, various
The Westcoast Catmasters will have the Imperial Valley Catfish Tournament 5 on Saturday and Sunday throughout the Valley. The tournament is a 24-hour fishing competition open to all ages with cash prizes for all placers. All state rules and regulations apply to this tournament. In the adult division there will be prizes for the top three single biggest flat head category and the heaviest five fish stringer for channels division and in the junior division, 15-and-under, will give prizes for the top three in the heaviest five fish stringer for channels division. This is a canal event. Any and all canals, rivers and public lakes in the Imperial County are open for fishing. Registration is at 7 a.m. Saturday at Westmorland Park in Westmorland. Cost is $45 for adults and $10 for juniors. For more information go to westcoastcatmasters.com
