BLYTHE — The Holtville High baseball team beat Palo Verde Valley High, 5-4, in an Imperial Valley League game here Wednesday.
Alex Ayon earned the win for the Vikings, picking up seven strikeouts.
At the plate, Josh Osuna was 2-for-3 with two runs, Johnny Palma was 1-for-3, Luis Espinosa was 2-for-3 with two runs and Alex Dollente was 1-for-3 with a run.
Holtville (10-6, 5-4 IVL) will play Imperial at 1:30 p.m. in the IVBN Classic on Saturday at Southwest High.
