  5. How dare Romney tell the truth

The audacity of Mitt Romney! Something needs to be done and right away. I am as shocked as everyone — perhaps even more so than the main stream media. I am just shocked for a different reason. Apparently, secret agents working only in the best interests of all Americans have discovered videos of Mitt speaking about voter preferences. The liberals and the main street media are going ballistic. Can you believe Mitt suggesting that at least 47 percent of the American people are living off their fellow taxpayers? Unbelievably, he also suggests that those same people are unlikely to ever vote for him or any other Republican candidate for president. I too may be jumping out of my skin. I can hardly believe that someone running for elected office is actually telling the truth.

  9. Will trash in Heber be cleaned up soon?

  11. From the Right: No vote for new tax increase

Everyone knows that at the beginning of July we joyfully celebrate our independence day. Fewer understand that it is the start of a new year, the budget year for state government.
Everyone knows that at the beginning of July we joyfully celebrate our independence day. Fewer understand that it is the start of a new year, the budget year for state government. I certainly would have hoped to be writing of bold new strategies to be...

  13. INKED! Suffering is no surprise to the Valley, and that's a good thing

Austerity has long been a way of life for the Imperial Valley. It’s like an infection of economic despair that the people and governments of the Valley have developed a tolerance to — we’re all noticeably sick but not dying.
